What hours are you open?
7am – 6.30pm Mon – Fri and 8am to 12 noon Sat and Sun.
Do you Bulk Bill?
We bulk bill all patients with Health Care Cards and Pension Concession Cards and all children under 16. All Chronic Disease Management is bulk billed.
When do I get my rebate?
Your rebate can be transferred directly into your bank account if you register your details with Medicare. You can also take your receipt to a Medicare office for reimbursement or use their online services/phone application to lodge your claim. Many of our allied health providers use HICAPS which allows you to use your private health cover towards the cost of your health care (if it is not covered by Medicare).
What other health professionals work at the Clinic?
Physiotherapy including a full rehabilitation gym, Exercise Physiology, Dietitian, Diabetic Educator, Podiatrist, Psychologists, Radiology (provided by South Coast Radiology), Pathology (provided by QML), Pharmacy (Provided by Gold Coast Super Clinic Pharmacy), Audiology.
What services do you provide?
All general medical services, chronic disease management, men’s, women’s, and child health, vaccinations, medicals (pre-employment, scuba diving, commercial drivers, power boat etc), travel health, all Corporate Health and WorkCover, Sports Medicine, Minor Surgery, Skin Checks, Anti-Aging Medicine, Family Planning, Chronic Disease Management (including management of Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, Chronic Pain), Screening (PAP Smears, PSA etc).
Do I need an appointment to be seen?
We do operate an appointment system for all our team members. Although we can sometimes accommodate walk in patients and will always attend to emergency presentations, we ask that you call first to make an appointment. If you do not do so we cannot guarantee you will be seen or you may have to wait whilst patients who have made appointments are seen.
Can I see a nurse without a doctor’s appointment?
No. As the nurses work with the doctors you will need to see your GP before seeing a nurse for your vaccinations, dressings etc.
How long are your doctors’ appointments?
Generally our doctors offer 10 minute appointments. If you think you need a longer appointment please tell the receptionist at the time of booking. Our allied health providers run with 30-60 minute appointments and our psychologists book hour long appointments. If you are seeing one of the nurses as well as your doctor please allow extra time. The receptionist can advise you at the time of booking how long you should expect to be here.
Is the Super Clinic owned/run by Queensland Health, The Commonwealth or other Government entity?
No. The Super Clinic was built with help from a Commonwealth grant but it is privately owned and operated. It is not associated directly with GCCH or any other General Practices, including others that may use the name “Super Clinic”.
Is the Practice Accredited?
Our Practice is fully accredited with AGPAL, under the RACGP Forth Edition Guidelines.
